## Abstract

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to all BAe Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146 and Model Avro 146-RJ series airplanes, that requires repetitive non- destructive testing inspections to detect cracking at the fuselage end of the inner sidestays of the main landing gear (MLG) by the anti- rotation pin, and replacement of the sidestay with a new sidestay, if necessary. This amendment is necessary to detect and correct fatigue cracking of the inner sidestays of the MLG, which could result in failure of the MLG. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
