## Abstract

These special conditions are issued for the Embraer Model EMB- 135BJ airplane. The Embraer Model EMB-135BJ airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature involving a fuel transfer system whose failure can affect the structural performance of the airplane. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this system and its effect on structural performance. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the applicable airworthiness standards.
