Abstract
Mapleton Municipal Airport has been renamed James G. Whiting Memorial Field. A review of controlled airspace for Mapleton, IA indicates it does not comply with the criteria for 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) airspace required for diverse departures. This action replaces "Mapleton Municipal Airport" in the legal description of Mapleton, IA Class E airspace area with "James G. Whiting Memorial Field." It also enlarges the area to provide adequate protection for diverse departures and brings the legal description into compliance with FAA Orders.
