Modification of Class E Airspace; Fairmont, NE

This action amends Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations, part 71 (14 CFR part 71) by revising the Fairmont, NE Class E airspace. It increases the size of the Class E airspace area extending upward from 700 feet above the surface of the earth to accommodate new and amended Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) developed for Fairmont State Airfield, Fairmont, NE. This action also modifies the Fairmont, NE Class E airspace, and its legal description, by incorporating the updated Fairmont State Airfield airport reference point. The intended effect of this rule is to provide controlled Class E airspace for aircraft executing an SIAP and to segregate aircraft using instrument approach procedures in instrument conditions from aircraft operating in visual conditions.
