## Abstract

This amendment modifies Class E airspace at Smithfield, NC. A LOC/DME RWY 3 Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP) has been developed for Johnston County Airport. Additional controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface (AGL) is needed to accommodate this SIAP and for instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the airport.
