Abstract
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is amending part 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) to harmonize certain flight requirements with the European Joint Aviation Requirements 25 (JAR-25). This action responds to a petition from the Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc. and the Association Europeenne des Constructeurs de Materiel Aerospatial. These changes are intended to benefit the public interest by standardizing certain requirements, concepts, and procedures contained in the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes.
