Special Conditions; SIAI Marchetti Model S211A Airplane

These special conditions are being issued for the SIAI Marchetti Aircraft Company Model S211A airplanes. These airplanes will have novel and unusual design features when compared to the state of technology envisaged in the applicable airworthiness standards. These design features include performance characteristics for which the applicable regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate airworthiness standards. These special conditions contain the additional airworthiness standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that provided by the current airworthiness standards.
