## Abstract

These special conditions are issued for the Allison Engine Company (AE) Model 250-C40 turboshaft engine. This engine will have novel or unique engine ratings that are not defined by the applicable airworthiness regulations. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards which the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the airworthiness standards of part 33 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
