Abstract

These special conditions are issued to Jetstream Aircraft Limited for the Jetstream Model 4101 series airplanes. This airplane will have an unusual design feature for which the applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain appropriate safety standards. The unusual design feature is an Automatic Takeoff Thrust Control System (ATTCS) that resets power on the operating engine for compliance with the approach climb performance requirements in Sec. 25.121(d). These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
