Docket No. 94-NM-92-AD
Abstract
This amendment supersedes an existing airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to McDonnell Douglas Model DC-9 and DC-9-80 series airplanes, Model MD-88 airplanes, and C-9 (military) series airplanes, that currently requires certain inspections and structural modifications. This amendment requires additional inspections and structural modifications. This amendment is prompted by an evaluation conducted by the Airworthiness Assurance Working Group, which identified additional inspections and structural modifications for mandatory action. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent degradation in the structural capabilities of the affected airplanes.
