Abstract
This amendment modifies the Class E airspace area at Birmingham, AL. A Global Positioning System (GPS) Runway (RWY) 23 Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP) has been developed for Birmingham International Airport. As a result, additional controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) is needed to accommodate the SIAP and for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations at Birmingham International Airport.
