Abstract

These special conditions are for the Lockheed Martin Aerospace Corp. Model L382J airplane. This airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature(s) associated with the installation of a dual head up display (HUD) to be used as a primary flight display (PFD) for all regimes of normal operation. The HUD will satisfy the basic requirements of Sec. 25.1321 and serve as the primary source of flight director command information. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards which the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the airworthiness standards of Part 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
