Abstract

This action establishes Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) at Carlisle, PA. The Carlisle Airport is served by a Non-Directional Radio Beacon (NDB) or Global Positioning System (GPS) Runway (RWY) 28 Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP) and a VHF Omni- Directional Radio Range (VOR) Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) or GPS-A SIAP. Controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) is needed to accommodate the SIAPs and for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations to the airport. This action is intended to provide adequate Class E airspace to contain instrument flight rules (IFR) operations to Carlisle Airport at Carlisle, PA.
