Docket No. 98-NM-88-AD

Abstract

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Dornier Model 328-100 series airplanes, that requires the installation of certain rivets on support arm 2 of the left and right flaps. This amendment is prompted by issuance of mandatory continuing airworthiness information by a foreign civil airworthiness authority. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent fatigue cracking of the support arms of the flaps, which could result in reduced structural integrity of the airplane.
