Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Model A321 Series Airplanes

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Airbus Model A321 series airplanes. This action requires modification and re-identification of the evacuation slide systems at left-and right-hand emergency exits 2 and 3. This amendment is prompted by issuance of mandatory continuing airworthiness information by a foreign civil airworthiness authority. The actions specified in this AD are intended to prevent the loss of the evacuation slides during flight, which could result in damage to the empennage, or inability of airplane occupants to use certain exit doors during an emergency.
