## Abstract

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to all Airbus Model A310 series airplanes, that requires various inspections to detect fatigue cracks at certain locations on the fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and wings and tail, and repair or modification, if necessary; and installation of doublers. This amendment also adds new inspections and reduces certain inspection intervals. This amendment is prompted by results of full-scale fatigue testing of a Model A310 series airplane, which revealed fatigue cracks at those locations. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent reduced structural integrity of the fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and wings.
