Abstract

This amendment establishes Class E airspace at Austin, Horseshoe Bay, TX and revokes the existing Class E airspace at Marble Falls, TX. The decision to associate the Class E airspace with Austin, TX instead of Marble Falls, TX; the change of the name of the airport from Horseshoe Bay Airport to Horseshoe Bay Airpark; and the development of a nondirectional radio beacon (NDB) standard instrument approach procedure (SIAP) to Horseshoe Bay Airpark, Marble Falls, TX, have made this rule necessary. This action is intended to provide adequate controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet or more above the surface for instrument flight rules (IFR) operations to Horseshoe Bay Airpark, Marble Falls, TX.
