Abstract
NMFS is opening directed fishing for pollock in the Bering Sea (BS) subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI) by vessels catching pollock for processing by the offshore component. This action is necessary to fully utilize the allowance of the total allowable catch (TAC) of pollock for processing by the offshore component in the BS.
