## Abstract

The Omnibus Consolidated Rescissions and Appropriations Act of 1996 did not include funding for the U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration. Some functions that are directly linked to tourism and trade are being established in the International Trade Administration, and no further funding is required. Therefore, the United States Travel and Tourism regulations regarding the issuance of grants to promote travel to States or their political subdivisions by foreign residents are being removed from the Code of Federal Regulations.
