## Abstract

The Bureau of Export Administration is amending the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR parts 730-799) by revising the requirements for exports and reexports of high performance computers. This revision implements Sections 1211-1215 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 1998 (P.L. 105-85, 111 Stat. 1629), signed by the President on November 18, 1997. Although the Export Administration Act (EAA) expired on August 20, 1994, the President invoked the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and continued in effect, to the extent permitted by law, the provisions of the EAA and the EAR in Executive Order 12924 of August 19, 1994, as extended by the President's notices of August 15, 1995 (60 FR 42767), August 14, 1996 (61 FR 42527) and August 15, 1997 (62 FR 43629).
