## Abstract

The Director of Defense Procurement has issued an interim rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to revise the existing foreign source restrictions for machine tools and valves, buses, chemical weapons antidote, air circuit breakers, and antifriction bearings, by uniformly permitting acquisition of Canadian items, expanding and standardizing the waiver criteria, and exempting acquisitions below the simplified acquisition threshold from these restrictions.
