Abstract
The Director of Defense Procurement has issued a final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to lower the level at which the Government must approve the use of auctions, spot bids, or retail sales, when a contractor is disposing of surplus inventory on the Government's behalf. This change is expected to expedite the disposal process.
