Abstract
The Director of Defense Procurement has issued a final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement Section 2801 of the Strom Thurmond National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1999. Section 2801 increases, from $300,000 to $500,000, the threshold at which notice to Congress is required before the award of a contract for architect-engineer services or construction design.
