## Abstract

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to facilitate the use of electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions and to streamline the payment process when supplies are purchased on a free on board (f.o.b.) destination basis with inspection and acceptance at origin.
