## Abstract

This rule provides guidance governing screening of Reserve component members of the U.S. military departments relative to their civilian employment. The purpose of the screening program is to ensure availability of Ready Reserve members for military mobilization purposes. The intended effect of the screening is to preclude conflicts between Reserve mobilization obligations and Federal civilian employment requirements during times of war or national emergency.
