Abstract
In December 1996, NHTSA published a rule amending the specifications for the Hybrid III test dummy. The dummy is specified by the agency for use in compliance testing under its occupant protection standard. The amendments made minor modifications in the dummy's femurs and ankles to improve biofidelity. In response to petitions for reconsideration, this document makes minor technical amendments and corrections to that rule.
