Abstract

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is issuing this final rule to conform its existing regulations to statutory changes that eliminate restrictions on mortgagees and trustees, thereby eliminating the need for approval by MARAD of mortgagees, trustees and mortgages held by noncitizens on U.S. documented vessels.
