Abstract
This final rule announces that amendments to the regulation establishing uniform procedures for State highway safety programs, published in an interim final rule, will remain in effect, with minor changes for clarification in response to comments. The amendments implemented the provisions of a two-year pilot highway safety program, providing a more flexible performance-based system for States to follow in conducting their highway safety programs.
