## Abstract

The Department of Energy (DOE) adopts, with minor change, an interim final rule published on January 18, 2001, which prescribed the security procedures that a DOE employee or DOE contractor employee, including an employee or contractor employee of the National Nuclear Security Administration, must follow to make a protected disclosure of classified or other controlled information under section 3164 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2000.
