## Abstract

The Department of Energy (Department) is establishing new regulations covering contractor legal management requirements. Conforming amendments are also made to the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR). The new regulation covers legal costs to be reimbursed by the Department to its contractors at government owned or leased facilities with contracts exceeding $100,000,000. An Appendix to the regulation provides additional guidance to contractors.
