Abstract
The Department of Energy (DOE) today issues a final rule to amend the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR) in its continuing effort to achieve the goals of several Executive Orders (EO), including: EO 12861, Elimination of One-Half of Executive Branch Internal Regulations; EO 12931, Federal Procurement Reform; and EO 12866, Regulatory Planning and Review. This rule deletes existing regulatory material that has been determined to be unnecessary. Specific material deleted from the DEAR is summarized in the ``Section- by-Section Analysis'' appearing later in this document.
