## Abstract

The Department of Energy (DOE) is amending the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR) to supplement the Federal Acquisition Regulation's (FAR) implementation of certain provisions of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 and the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. In addition, DOE is amending the DEAR to eliminate unnecessary and obsolete coverage and to make certain technical and conforming amendments, as appropriate.
