## Abstract

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is amending the regulations codifying the Commission's responsibilities under the Natural Gas Act and Executive Order 10485, as amended. The Commission is updating its regulations governing the filing of applications for the construction and operation of facilities to provide service or to abandon facilities or service under section 7 of the Natural Gas Act. The changes are necessary to conform the Commission's regulations to the Commission's current policies.
