## Abstract

In response to a petition filed by Pure Energy Corporation, DOE is amending the rules for the statutory program that requires certain alternative fuel providers and State government fleets to acquire alternative fueled vehicles. The regulatory amendments add three specific blends of methyltetrahydrofuran, ethanol and hydrocarbons (known as ``P-series'' fuels) to the definition of ``alternative fuel.''
