Abstract

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is amending its regulations to add the Holtec International HI-STAR 100 cask system to the list of approved spent fuel storage casks. This amendment allows the holders of power reactor operating licenses to store spent fuel in this approved cask system under a general license.
