## Abstract

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is amending its regulations to incorporate by reference more recent editions and addenda of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and the ASME Code for Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants for construction, inservice inspection, and inservice testing. These provisions provide updated rules for the construction of components of light-water-cooled nuclear power plants, and for the inservice inspection and inservice testing of those components. This final rule permits the use of improved methods for construction, inservice inspection, and inservice testing of nuclear power plant components.
