This action is part of the Region 2 Late Reporter Initiative. A review of the Toxic Release Inventory Envirofacts Database (TRI Database) indicates that Toshiba Display Devices Inc. voluntarily submitted to the EPA late (307 days late) Form R reports for the following: barium compounds, hydrogen fluoride, lead compounds, methyl ethyl ketone, nickel, nitrate compounds, nitric acid, sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate, methyl ethyl ketone and toluene. Toshiba agrees to install and ascid recovery system in the nitric acid/hydrofluoric acid lines. this will reduce the amount of toxic waste managed by the facility. This action is being concurrently issued with a Consent Agreement Final Order.
