The Newly Weds Chicago facility is part of a larger settlement with the company nationally. The settlement agreement provides that Newly Weds will be either replacing or retrofitting all of its IPRs in its facilities from ozone-depleting refrigerant to non-ozone depleting refrigerant (non-ODS) as injunctive relief and will pay a civil penalty of $125,000. The Chicago facility contains ten of the IPRs that will be replaced or retrofitted with non-ODS as part of the settlement. The injunctive relief is expected to cost Newly Weds in excess of $500,000.
