EPA alleged violations of New Source Review, New Source Performance Standards and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants under the Clean Air Act at several petroleum refineries operated by ConocoPhillips across the country, including this refinery near Ferndale, Washington. The violations will require corrective action to be taken by ConocoPhillips to reduce SO2, NOx, PM/PM-10, CO, and VOC (including HAPs such as Benzene) emissions from various process units at the refineries.
