Dry cleaning operations have been conducted at the Site by numerous subtenant/operators from approximately 1965. The operations of one of the subtenants -- Stanton Cleaners Inc. (Stanton) � are believed to have caused the contamination at the Site by dumping dry-cleaning fluids containing tetrachloroethylene (�PCE�) onto a grassy area at the Stanton Property between 1968 and 1995. The Consent Judgment provides for the following: Defendant is required to pay EPA in two installments; the Settling Defendants agreed to provide first option to sell the Site Property to a prospective purchaser, Sabet Development Company, Inc. (Sabet) and should Sabet choose not to purchase the Site Property use their best efforts to sell the Site Property to a purchaser other than Sabet and pay EPA for its past response costs.
