## Summary

R and L Oil Co.
CWA-06-2005-1751
OKU000529

VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's tank battery was a point source of discharge of pollutants, specifically oil field brine, to the receiving waters of Brush Creek, located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 28 North, Range 13 East, Washington County, Oklahoma. The discharge of brine was documented during a October 26, 2004 inspection.

RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants, remove an overflow pipe, and to neutralize the brine contaminated areas surrounding the facility by applying soil amendments to neutralize the sodium chloride. Additionally, the Order asks the Respondent to consider: (1) close out a pit; (2) repair or replace equipment that is leaking; (3) construct secondary containment; (4) install a sump pump; (5) install an alarm system; and (6) update the facilitys lease sign. A follow-up inspection will determine the extent of compliance with the Order. Matthew Rudolph 5-6434.
