Summary

Louisiana Energy Consultant Inc. CWA-06-2005-1906 TXU010505 VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of a tributary of Frazier Creek, located in Cass County, Texas. A January 19, 2005, EPA inspection documented the discharge of oil field brine from the facility's tank battery to the tributary. RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should take whatever corrective action is necessary to eliminate and prevent recurrence of the violations cited in the Order. Additionally, the Order asks the Respondent to: (1) Remove contaminated fluids; (2) reconstruct secondary containment; (3) install a sump pump; and (4) remediate the areas impacted by the brine discharges. A follow-up inspection will determine the extent of compliance with the Order. Matt Rudolph 5-6434.
