This is a Civil Judicial Referral pursuant to CERCLA section 107, RCRA section 7003, and the Bankruptcy Code regarding Saltire Industrial, Inc. This Referral requests that DOJ file a proof of claim in the Saltire Industrial, Inc. bankruptcy matter in order for EPA to seek cost recovery for expensaes incurred at the San Gabriel superfund site.
[Note: By final order of the bankruptcy court EPA will receive $500,000 and another $1,500,000 will be paid to a separate account for general unsecured claims.]
