On March 10, 2009, an AO was issued against Bridgeport Insulated Wire Company (BIW) for violations of the federal National Emission Standards for Hazardous Pollutants. Specifically, BIW is being cited for notification, testing, work practice, monitoring, and HAP emission violations pursuant to the surface coating of miscellaneous metal parts and products MACT standard (MMP&P MACT) found at 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart MMMM. The AO requires BIW to comply with the MMP&P MACT requirements.
