THIS SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT REQUIRES THE RESPONDENT TO CONDUCT A REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION AND FEASIBILITY STUDY AT FOUR PEOPLES GAS SITES IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. THE SITES ARE THE NORTH SHORE AVENUE SITE, THE SOUTH BRANCH SITE; THE NORTH BRANCH SITE; AND THE CRAWFORD SITE.
Pursuant to the FY2018 Modification, parcels 17-04-300-013, 17-04-300-014, 17-04-300-015 and 17-04-300-016 are being removed from the definition of the North Station Operable Unit and so will not be subject to the terms and conditions of this Settlement Agreement and are not to be considered as covered by the Settlement Agreement. The Parcels identified above will be addressed, if needed, under the State of Illinois Voluntary Program.
Also, pursuant to this Modification, the Bubbly Creek OU, in addition to the Hough Place Station Upland OU and the Pitney Court Station Upland OU are being removed from the definition of the South Branch Site River OU and so will not be subject to the terms and conditions of this Settlement Agreement and is not to be considered as covered by the Settlement Agreement.
Lastly, pursuant to this Modification, the upland area of the North Shore A venue Site is removed from the Settlement Agreement and the Hawthorne Avenue Station Operable Unit is removed from the definition of the North Branch Site and so neither will be subject to the terms and conditions of this Settlement Agreement and are not to be considered as covered by the Settlement Agreement.
