In a letter written to EPA dated August 18, 2008, a representative of Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes admitted violations of section 12 of TSCA. Specifically, Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes violated TSCA section 12(b) when it failed to notify EPA in writing of its intent to export five chemical substances subject to TSCA sections 4, 5, and 6.
