Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing exploration and production activities in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent uses synthetic based muds for drilling operations and Respondent had a small spill of 0.5 gallons of this internal olefin based mud. Respondent is being ordered to take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
