Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing exploration and production activities in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent had a 280 barrel discharge of synthetic based mud and cement from its Mars Tension Leg Platform in the Mississippi Canyon block 287 of the Gulf of Mexico on March 1, 2005. Respondent is being ordered to take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
