Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing exploration and production activities in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent had an unknown quantity discharge of synthetic based mud from its Ocean Champion drilling rig in South Timbalier block 242, of the Gulf of Mexico on March 8, 2005. Respondent is being ordered to take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
