Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing exploration and production activities in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent had a 19 barrel discharge of synthetic based mud from its Discovery Ocean rig in Mississippi Canyon block 822 of the Gulf of Mexico on March 15, 2005. Respondent is being ordered to take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
